Nine citizens martyred, 15 injured in rocket attacks by armed groups in Damascus and its Countryside

Damascus – Nine civilians were martyred and many others were injured in rocket attacks on Esh al-Warwar and Mezzeh 86 neighborhoods in Damascus and its Countryside, SANA reported.

A source at Damascus Police Command said that seven civilians were martyred and 13 others were injured when the armed groups fired rocket shells on Esh al-Warwar neighborhood in Damascus.

The source added that the armed groups fired two rocket shells on Mezzeh 86 neighborhood, killing a woman and injuring two other civilians.

 

Earlier, the armed groups positioned in Eastern Ghouta fired 17 rocket shells on Harasta residential suburb causing material damages to civilians’ properties.

Units of the Syrian Arab Army responded to the attack by targeting with precise strikes the areas from which shells were fired, destroying rocket launchers and inflicting losses upon the armed groups.
