Nicaraguan government condemns “Israeli” aggression on Syria

Managua,(ST)- The Nicaraguan government strongly condemned the recent Israeli aggression on Syria, warning of the serious consequences of these acts on the stability of the region and the world.

The government said in a statement that the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity in the Republic of Nicaragua condemns in the strongest terms the blatant disrespect for international law and the violation of the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter by “Israel”, through its aggression on the Syrian Arab Republic on September 8, which resulted in the martyrdom of 18 of the brotherly Syrian people, and the violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this country.

The government renewed in its statement the warning that these acts of destabilization and interference will only lead to serious consequences on the stability of the region and the world, calling for absolute respect for the United Nations Charter and its principles advocated by the peoples of the world in order for peace and justice to prevail.

The government expressed its steadfast solidarity with the government of the Syrian Arab Republic and the families of the martyrs and wounded victims of the criminal Israeli aggression. It stressed its rejection of this kind of despicable act that harms peace.
