Damascus, (ST) – Head of the Syrian Arab- Emirates Business Council Ammar Qalla stressed that 2016 will be the beginning to promote the reconstruction and economic reality in Syria, pointing out that the Council’s role in this phase focuses on attracting Syrian businessmen to invest in industry, tourism and construction areas.
In a statement to local pressMr. Qalla said yesterday that the Syrian government is providing support and facilities for Syrian investors, especially in the field of construction, pointing out that investment at this stage contribute to the improvement of the exchange rate of the Syrian pound.
He stated that the construction boom we will see in the next phase “will have a clear and tangible impact for the dollar exchange rate against the local currency,” noting that all Syrian investors direct their attention and their business to invest in Syria.
“The Council is working on marketing in both Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands to attract Syrian businessmen from Europe and the UAE to invest in Syria and we have seen some demands for the establishment of tourist investment projects and we hope the government to work more for market in the world in the tourism and industrial investment areas,”Mr. Qalla added.
