The Israeli occupation has announced a new plan to establish 20,000 settlement units in Palestinian areas occupied in 1948.
Maan News Agency reported on Thursday that the occupation will seize swathes of Palestinian land in Al-Naqab area to establish 20,000 settlement units for more than 100,000 settlers. The aim is to change the demographic situation in this area.
At the beginning of this year, the occupation authorities started implementing a plan to seize what remained of Palestinian lands in Al-Naqab. They razed swaths of lands in Al-Atrash village where 7000 Palestinians live as well as in neighboring villages extending on an area of 45,000 dunums.
