New Zealand to Provide Immediate Assistance to the Syrian Red Crescent to face the Earthquake Repercussions 

New Zealand has announced its intention to provide immediate humanitarian support to those affected by the deadly earthquake that struck Syria yesterday dawn. 

New Zealand Government Website on Tuesday posted a statement by New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta, in which she said that New Zealand is deeply saddened by the loss of life and the devastation caused by this earthquake. She added that through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Wellington (NGO) will provide an initial contribution worth 500,000 New Zealand dollars, to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) to meet the humanitarian needs of the Syrians affected by the earthquake.
