New US-Led Coalition’s Massacre Claims Lives of 20 Civilians in Deir Ezzor Countryside

DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- The US-led Coalition Saturday morning committed a new massacre in Hajin town in Deir Ezzor countryside killing at least 20 civilians, including nine children and eight women, and causing destruction to people’s houses and properties, local sources told SANA reporter.

The new crime comes less than 24 hours after the airstrikes of the illegal international coalition targeted residential areas in al-Sha’fa town in Deir Ezzor, claiming the lives of 11 civilians including three women and five children. The death toll may rise as many victims remained under the rubble and it was difficult to pull them out because of heavy shelling by the coalition.

 Syria has repeatedly urged the UN and the Security Council to immediately act to stop the coalition’s attacks on the Syrians and to take necessary procedures for establishing an independent neutral international mechanism to investigate the crimes and punish their perpetrators.
