New UK aid worth £1 billion to Ukraine

Britain announced the allocation of one billion pounds sterling to provide additional military aid to the regime in Ukraine.

“The new aid package will include advanced air defense systems, drones and modern electronic equipment,” Reuters news agency quoted British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as saying in a statement on Wednesday.

This brings the total volume of British military aid to Ukraine to 2.3 billion pounds, or 2.8 billion dollars. Thus Britain ranks second in terms of the amount of support for Kiev after the United States.

Earlier this month, the British Ministry of Defense announced plans to supply Kiev with missile launchers with a range of up to eighty kilometers, as part of Western efforts to fuel the war in Ukraine.
