Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The fierce attack of the Israeli occupation to Judaize the occupied city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and obliterate its Arab Palestinian identity has witnessed a significant escalation in recent times.
The Israeli occupation authority announced new settlement plans on an almost daily basis in a continuous violation of the resolutions of international legitimacy and the absence of the will of the international community to implement these decisions and stop the practices of the occupation.
The National Office for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated in a report published today on its website that the occupation announced last week a plan threatening to seize 67,000 dunums.
These dunums are extending from the village of Mikhmas to the town of Al-Sawahra in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) to expand one of the settlements and a plan to establish 107 new settlement units on Lands of the towns of Anata and Al-Azariya in Al-Quds (Jerusalem), and a third plan for the establishment of 1446 settlement units on the lands of the town of Sur Baher, southeast of the city.
The report indicated that the settlers are intensifying their attacks to displace the residents of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar village, east of Al-Quds (Jerusalem). It referred that, the occupation plans targeting the village date back to 2009 and tried to demolish it in 2018. a war crime.
The report pointed out that the city of Ramallah is under a massive settlement attack, as the occupation announced a plan to establish 114 settlement units on an area of 150 dunums of the lands of Deir Dibwan town, and 364 units on an area of 280 dunums of the lands of the towns of Ras Karkar and Deir Ibzi’. It pointed out that two weeks ago, the occupation seized 258 A dunum of land between the towns of Beit Laqya and Beit Nuba, southwest of the city.
The report also indicated that the occupation forces swept areas of the lands of the Wadi Al-Rababa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and demolished five homes and ten agricultural facilities in the Al-Taybeh area, the towns of Birin and Al-Buwaib in Hebron, Qusin in Nablus, Qarawat Bani Hassan in Salfit, and several commercial establishments north of Jenin. The demolition of homes and facilities in the village of Al-Dirat in Hebron and the town of Nahalin in Bethlehem, while razing an agricultural road and closing with earth mounds the area connecting the towns of Deir Sharaf and Qusin in Nablus, and uprooting 1000 fruitful trees from the lands of Hajjah town in Qalqilya.
The report pointed out that the settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, seized areas of the lands of the town of Tekoa in Bethlehem to establish a new settlement outpost. They also attacked Palestinian farmers in the Masafer Yatta area in Hebron and the towns of Qarawat Bani Hassan in Salfit and Ramin in Tulkarm, and destroyed large areas planted with wheat, barley and olives, and burned a house in Nablus and seized another in the Old City of Hebron.
