Some 320 local and regional trade brands are showing their products of building materials, stone, marble, paint, air conditioning, solar energy, water technology, environmental sustainability, home furnishings, real estate development and engineering offices, security and safety systems, lighting, and other Construction equipment and supplies in the 20th session of Buildex Exhibition, which kicked off on the 7th of June.
Syria Times e-newspaper interviewed some the participating companies to shed light on this event which will last until the 11th of this month.
Eng. Mohannad AlHaj, Director General of Al-Bouraq Company, told us: We take part for the first time in Buildex Exhibition… We are the agents of the Spanish “IMEM” Company for Elevators, and we sell assembled elevators in the local market. Our company was established in 2007 and the goals of our participation in this event are to give visitors an idea about our product and to exchange experience with participating companies.”
For her part, Windy Wong from China said: “Our company’s name is “CHISAGE ESS” . We are here to participate with our partner Vega Company. We mainly focus on inverters and battery manufacturers . We are here to provide clean energy and green energy for Syrian people…Our company was founded in 1998, so we actually have a very strong background. We believe that our products are suitable for your market. I came to this activity with three of my colleagues and we were warmly welcomed by Syrian people.”
Mohammad Asadi Exports Director of the private Iranian Shafigh Industrial and Commercial Group, who is also participating for the first time in such an event said:” Our products [Haiku PVC foam boards] are new for Syrian people. They use it little here, while I think this product will replace MDF in the market because this product’ s major specifications are: Water-resistance, weather-resistance and it is possible to be used outdoor for many years. The other uses for our products are for kitchens, washroom and toilet and for advertising. Our products could be used in reconstruction and it is very easy to transport products from Iran to Syria because the two countries have a very strong political relations . This can help the traders to work together easily. Our products has been used in Iran 50 years ago but in Syria it is vey new.”
Imad Baghdan, technical manager of Tanfon company for solar systems said: “Our company was founded in 2007 and we export our products to more than 160 countries. We have provided customers with 10,000 professional customized green power supply solutions. We are specialized in the Research & Development, production and sales of distributed photovoltaic power station grid connected power generation system and photovoltaic off grid energy storage power supply application equipment. The quality of our products is high. We seek to establish 120 solar service centers worldwide and a good cooperation with foreign partners based on win- win strategy.”
According to Alaa Hilal, director of the Arab Group for Exhibitions which has organized the Buildex exhibition, exhibitions are not a luxury at all and they are essentially linked to economy, and the return of exhibitions is still shy because The possibility of participation from abroad is still facing great obstacles due to the war economy in our country.
