A new round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations kicked off today, Tuesday, the 29th of March 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Two delegations representing Moscow and Kiev will participate in this tour, where it is scheduled to discuss a number of issues to reach an agreement on a ceasefire in Ukraine.
The day before yesterday, Russia and Ukraine agreed to hold a new round of negotiations. Previously, Moscow and Kiev delegations held three rounds of negotiations in Belarus and a meeting in Turkey between the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, Sergey Lavrov and Dmitry Kuleba.
In yesterday’s statements, the Russian Foreign Minister expressed Moscow’s hope that the round of negotiations in Turkey would be crowned with success, represented in the first place by stopping the killing of civilians in Donbass, pointing out that any future agreement with Kiev must include its disarmament and the uprooting of Nazism from it.
