New Ministers Sworn in before President Al-Assad

DAMASCUS, (ST- Newly-appointed Ministers of Higher Education Malek Ali, Economy and Foreign Trade Khodr Orfali, Industry Kamal Eddin Touma, Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Samir Izzat Kadi Amin, Tourism Bishr Riyad Yazigi and Minister of State Haseeb Elias Shammas, were sworn in on Sunday before President Bashar Al-Assad.

Later, His Excellency, the President received the new ministers and provided them with his directives, wishing them all success.

Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi attended the meeting. 

On Thursday, President Al-Assad issued decree No. 310 for the year 2013. The decree provided for reshuffling the cabinet and appointing new ministers.
