New Israeli aggression targets the Iranian Consulate in Mezzeh, Damascus

A number of people were martyred and others were injured on Monday in a new Israeli aggression that targeted the Iranian Consulate building in Mezzeh, Damascus.

A military source told SANA that at around 5:00 PM, the Israeli enemy carried out a missile attack from the direction of occupied Syrian Golan targeting the Iranian Consulate building in Mezzeh, Damascus and the Syrian air defenses intercepted the Israeli missiles and downed some of them.

The source added that the Israeli aggression led to the martyrdom and injury of several people, including Iranian advisors, completely destroyed the building and caused damage to the nearby buildings.

Work is now underway to pull the bodies of the martyrs, treat the wounded and remove the rubble.
