New episode in Jordan’s evil role in Syrian crisis

The offer recently made by King Abdullah II of Jordan to arm Syrian and Iraqi tribes represents a new episode in the sinister role played by Jordan and its king in supporting terrorism and preventing the resolving of crisis in Syria through peaceful means. In fact, the Jordanian offer hides the objectives of the Zionist project in the region, which aims at destroying Syria and dividing it into mini states based on ethnic and sectarian criteria.

However, representatives of Syria’s most prominent tribes categorically rejected the offer and all projects and plans that aim to deprive them of their national, Syrian and Arab identity.

More than 13 tribes across Syria have participated in the meeting that was held in Damascus last weekand called on the Jordanian king to stop supporting terrorists operating in Syria and increasing the bloodshed and suffering of the Syrian people.

The participants affirmed that Jordan is well aware of the American project aiming to rip to pieces the region on sectarian basis and regrettably it is working to implement this notorious project which aims at weakening the Arab nation and perpetuating the Israeli occupation of the Arab territories.

Leaders of Syrian clans affirmed their absolute rejection of any project that aspires to cut off their Arab roots, reiterating their unwavering adherence to their country, state and national unity.

The clan leaders said they were outraged by the King’s statement concerning the arming of tribesmen in Syria’s north.

The clan leaders lashed out at Jordan’s role in facilitating the entry of terrorists into Syria and providing them with weapons, indicating that the US project seeks to partition the countries of the region, especially Syria and Iraq to facilitate the passing of the Zionist project in the region.

The clan leaders urged the King of Jordan to oppose any harm that might be done to the Syrian people and land, especially that Syria has always sided with the Arab peoples during hard times.

Over the past four years, Jordan has been supporting takfiri terrorists fighting in Syria, through sheltering them, and allowing them to cross the borders. Moreover, Jordan is home of many ‘operation rooms’ where the battles against the Syrian Arab Army are run with the participation of military experts from Israel, the US, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Jordan’s persisting involvement in training Syria-bound terrorists on its soil is crystal clear from the very beginning of the crisis in Syria. Jordan is using its soil to facilitate the training of foreign-backed terrorist elements that are engaged in armed battles to kill Syrian people and destroy the infrastructure of the country. There is public and systematic support provided by the kingdom of Jordan to terrorist groups, increasing the suffering of Syria’s citizens because of crimes committed by these groups.

The government in Amman provides logistical support to armed terrorist groups, including [al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front. Jordan has set up terrorist training camps on its soil as well as operations centers to help these groups and facilitate the infiltration of thousands of terroristsinto Syria daily. The UN Security Council should adopt measures to stop the actions of Jordan that threaten security and stability in the region and the entire world.

Syria doesn’t need land forces to arm or fight ISIS, because the Syrian Arab army is conducting this task valiantly across the country. But what is required from the Jordanian King and government is to stop sheltering, training, arming and sending terrorists to Syria.

It is an established fact that there is a glaring inconsistency between the Jordanian regime’s claims of backing a political solution to the crisis in Syria and its overt logistical and military support for terror organizations operating on the Syrian soil.

How a political regime could fight terrorists in north Syria and arm, train and pass the terrorists at the same time to kill the Syrians and destroy their country in the south.
