New Book on Syria published in Prague

Prague (ST) – A new book on Syria, entitled “History of Syria”, was published in Prague, written by the university professors and orientalists Edward Gombar, Peter Kharvat and Lukas Bekha, published by Lidovi Noviny publishing house.

The authors of the 692-page book pointed out that the history of Syria dates back to the beginning of human civilizations and that its geopolitical location near the great ancient empires made it an arena of frequent conflicts.

The book provides details about the ancient history of Syria and the civilizations that passed through it.
