New Action Plan on Migration and Asylum in Europe

Brussels, (ST) – The European Commission on Wednesday announced a new Action Plan on Migration and Asylum.

“The comprehensive approach to combating illegal immigration under the new plan includes initiatives aimed at preventing the systematic using of migrants and curbing illegal immigration,” the European commission said in a statement posted on its website.

 It is noteworthy that the Mediterranean has been witnessing for many months an unprecedented wave of migration from the Middle East and North Africa towards European countries due to the spread of chaos and terrorism carried out by extremist groups supported by Western and regional countries.
