New 10-hour Humanitarian Pause to be Applied in Aleppo Friday

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces has announced a new 10-hour humanitarian pause in Aleppo to be applied on Friday.

All previously set  humanitarian corridors will be opened for both civilians and gunmen to leave safely from the Aleppo eastern neighborhoods if they are willing, the army command said in a statement on Wednesday.

The command urged all gunmen in eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo to halt fighting, benefit from the humanitarian pause and leave the city with their individual weapons through the Castello corridor in the north and through Souk al-Kheir –al-Masharqa corridor towards Idleb.

The command also called on people willing to leave the eastern districts to use the six corridors set previously for the exit of civilians as well as for injured and sick people.

The humanitarian pause, which is due to start at 9:00 am and end at 7:00 pm Friday, confirms the army command’s keenness on halting bloodshed.

The Syrian army has succeeded in foiling all the attempts by terrorist groups to break the siege on the gunmen in the eastern districts of Aleppo and in inflicting heavy losses upon them.
