Netanyahu’s Declaration of Annexation of West Bank Lands is a Serious Violation, Says Cuba

Havana, (ST) – Cuba has confirmed that the announcement by Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation entity Benjamin Netanyahu to annex lands from the West Bank to the entity is a serious violation of international law.

This declaration “threatens to create a new escalation against the Palestinian people,” calling for respect and implementation of international laws and Security Council resolutions related to the Palestinian issue, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said in a tweet on Twitter.

In another context, Rodriguez considered that the prevention of the entry of fuel into his country is part of the measures to target Cuba, which causes harm to all Cuban citizens, blaming the United States government and said it is responsible for the consequences of these measures.

Rodriguez called on Washington to lift its unjust embargo on Cuba, stressing at the same time that his country would not give in to US sanctions and embargo.

The US Treasury recently imposed sanctions on several companies for transporting oil to Cuba.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel said that the United States is acting more aggressively toward Cuba and “wants to cut off supplies to extract political concessions.”
