Need to Strengthen Relations with Arab and Foreign Parliaments Stressed

DAMASCUS– Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hadiye Abbas stressed the need to bolster the role of the Arab and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Assembly and developing it to enhance communication with Syrian expatriates and expose the conspiracy against Syria to the public opinion, according to SANA.

During a meeting with the Committee on Tuesday, Abbas stressed the need to strengthen relations with Arab and foreign parliaments and improve the work of parliamentary friendship associations.

For their part, the Committee members discussed issues related to the Committee’s work and how to develop it to serve Syria’s interests and relay the truth to the global public opinion.

Abbas also met Assembly members for Damascus Countryside province and discussed with them means to improve their performance and stay in touch with citizens’ issues and situation.
