Nebenzya: Open duplicity of West in dealing with the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya has  accused Western countries of adopting  double standards policy in dealing with the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and in Ukraine.

RT website quoted Nebenzya as saying during a UN Security Council session: “The Gaza Strip is being completely destroyed before our eyes,” considering that the Western representatives prefer to ignore this situation because of their double standards.

He added: “I repeat once again my question that I asked in the previous meeting about the humanitarian situation in Ukraine. How many meetings have you held about the humanitarian situation in Gaza during all this time?  I will answer you: No meeting was held”.

The Russian representative explained  that representatives of Western countries prefer instead to promote lies and slander about alleged Russian attacks on civilians in Ukraine.

The UN Security Council failed to take any decision to stop the barbaric Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip  due to the United States’ use of its veto to prevent the passage of any resolution demanding the cessation of this aggression.
