Nebenzia: Washington is not an honest and neutral party concerning the Palestinian issue
On May 24th, Russia’s delegate to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that Washington had lost the impartiality and neutrality that the mediator needed to solve the Palestinian issue.
“The double standards of our American colleagues are clearly evident in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and the United States continues with unilateral attempts to reverse the deterioration in the region by replacing the real political world with the economic world,” the Russian Novosti agency quoted Nebenzia as saying during a meeting of the UN Security Council.
Nebenzia stressed that the decision of the previous US administration to recognize Al-Quds as the capital of Israel and Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Arab Golan contradicts the US commitment to the main resolutions of the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly.
