Nebenzia: The American forces occupy lands in Syria and do not provide anything in the humanitarian field

New York (ST): Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, criticized the practices of the American occupation forces in Syria, refuting the US allegations about obstructing humanitarian aid to al-Rukban camp in  Al-Tanf region.

During a session of the UN Security Council, Nebenzia refuted, according to what TASS reported, the allegations made by Acting United States Representative to the UN Richard Mills about Syria and Russia obstructing humanitarian aid access to al-Rukban camp saying: “The Russian army helped establish humanitarian corridors to help those in  desperate need, and this is something that the American forces that occupy Syrian lands do not do.He wondered what the American occupation forces, which claim to “defend humanity”, had done to improve the humanitarian situation in Syria.

The American occupation forces are working to obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid to the displaced Syrians in Al-Rukban camp, in Al-Tanf region, and they are in dire need of it in light of the spread of the Corona pandemic.

Earlier, Syria’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Bassam Sabbagh, emphasized during the Security Council session the necessity to end the politicization of humanitarian work in Syria and support its efforts in the humanitarian and developmental fields in order to allow the return of the internally and externally displaced.
