Nebenzia calls on the international community to condemn the American aggression against Syria and Iraq

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Security Council Vassily Nebenzia called on the international community to unconditionally condemn the reckless actions taken by Washington and its allies in the Middle East that violate Syria and Iraq sovereignty.

Russian Today quoted Nebenzia as saying in a UN Security Council session, held to discuss the American aggression against Syria And Iraq, “the recent actions of the Anglo-Saxons in the Middle East constitute a direct threat to international peace and security, and undermine the world order that has been built on the rule of global international law and the central role of the United Nations” .

Nebenzia added that through attacking targets in Iraq and Syria in almost nonstopped way, the United States is deliberately seeking to drag the biggest Middle East countries to the conflict.

China: The American strikes in Iraq and Syria are a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the countries

For his part China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Zhang Jun affirmed that the American strikes on Iraq and Syria blatantly violate the sovereignty of these two countries.

He said that “the recent American strikes on several targets in Syria and Iraq, resulted in large number of victims, and such action constitute a blatant violation of the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Syria and Iraq”.

He added:” the history has proven time and again that military means are not the solution and the excessive use of the force will only lead to a greater crisis”.

Few days ago, the American occupation forces launched an air attack on a number of sites and towns in Syria and Iraq near the Syrian-Iraqi border, which led to the martyrdom of a number of civilians and soldiers, the wounding of others, and the infliction of significant damage to public and private property.
