DAMASCUS, (ST)-The men’s National Chess Championship has wrapped up activities at Barada club in Damascus.

Some 25 athletes representing Damascus and its countryside, Quneitra, Suwaida, Homs, Hama, Tartous and Lattakia took part in the said event.

Ward Tarboush from Damascus clichéd the title with 5.4 points.  Followed by Nasser Bitar from Quneitra. The third place went to Ali Haidar from Tartous.
