Nazi-Zionist offensive targets defenseless Palestinians and infrastructure

The current Israeli brutal aggression  targeting the defenseless Palestinians besieged in Gaza is reminiscent of the Nazi offensive during World War II. Apart from the savage massacres being committed against women, children and the elderly, the savage Israeli aggression has been targeting the Palestinian houses, infrastructure and hospitals. Tens of Palestinian homes have been completely destroyed, while over 2,500 others have been damaged.

The health services are on the verge of collapse in the besieged Gaza Strip amid escalating Israeli attacks. Gaza has faced severe shortages in medicines and fuel for hospital generators. The recent escalation of violence in the Gaza Strip raises concern about the ability of the Palestinians to cope with the increased burden of medical emergencies on the health system, given the high levels of shortages of medicines, medical disposables and hospital fuel supplies. A hospital, three clinics and a water desalinization center in a refugee camp have also been damaged. Gaza has no fuel reserves for hospitals during frequent power cuts while state health workers have not received their salaries in recent months because of the tight siege that have been imposed by the Israelis on the Strip since 2007.

Hospitals in the besieged Gaza Strip are lacking medical supplies and equipment as the Israeli regime continues its barbarous offensive in the blockaded enclave. The intensive care unit of al-Shifa hospital in Gaza is suffering from various shortages. There was shortage before this bombing of Gaza in all medical supplies. After this brutal aggression, medical care suffered more and more. Shortage of all medical supplies, medical instruments, drugs, emergency machines and also medical teams was caused by the current aggression.

Many Gazan children and teenagers, injured by Israeli attacks, were transferred to the hospital in the blockaded territory.  What’s ironic is that Israeli occupation forces continue this genocide against the Palestinians amid Arab, international official silence. With the new raids today, death toll among the Palestinians rose to 370 and 2400 wounded. Immediately after the end of a five-hour humanitarian truce to allow aid in the ravaged Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation troops expanded their aggression on the Strip by launching a ground invasion that claimed the lives of more innocent Palestinians. The ground offensive followed 10 days of non-stop air raids, backed up by artillery bombardment. The Zionist enemy’s military vehicles penetrated deeply into the north, east and west of the Strip.

The ongoing aggression has inflicted massive damage on the infrastructure, cutting off water and electricity to thousands of helpless unarmed residents. Throughout launching its ground invasion into the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces have added new barbarous crimes to its notorious criminal record amid reports of using internationally banned smoke and poisonous weapons.

The Israeli enemy, which is accustomed to violating international law, finds no harm in escalating its aggression on Gaze and committing more crimes against humanity in the light of the absence of any international deterrent and the unlimited support offered by the US and the sheer silence of the so-called Arab League and the petro-dollar Gulf emirates.
