Iran’s Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani said on Wednesday that nature of terrorist groups is the same everywhere.
Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with parliament Speaker of Mali Republic Isaac Sidbieh.
The Speaker said that unity among Islamic states is very important and added that the next inter-parliamentary conference of Islamic states, which is due to be held in Mali, may have noteworthy effect on proximity of views of Muslims and of the Islamic world.
Iran has valuable experiences in many fields like industry, agriculture, road construction and medical sciences, which could be helpful for development of Mali, added Larijani.
He appreciated Mali’s stance on human rights and said the issue indicated there are many similar beliefs on Islamic world issues between the two countries and ‘one of the problems is the issue of terrorism, both in our and your regions.’
Mali National Assembly Speaker Isaac Sidbieh for his part extended condolences to Larijani on demise of the late Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani.
Referring to old and friendly relations between the two countries, Sidbieh said Mali believes Palestinians are suffering cruelty.
He said that inter-parliamentary conference would be an opportunity for Islamic states to establish peace in Palestine.
Considering growth of terrorism in the world, Sidbieh said extremism in some African states is too much and it should be prevented in any way and to that end it is necessary that all countries, especially Islamic states, get united.
