National reconciliation enhanced in Deir Ezzor

In a step towards national reconciliation, 400 misled people from Deir Ezzor province have laid down their weapons and turned themselves over to authorities to benefit from the amnesty decree and the inforced laws and regulations in settling their legal status.

The achievement was made in cooperation with the civil society and concerned authorities in the province.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Shlash, from the National Reconciliation Centre in Deir Ezzor, told SANA reporter that the legal status of 400 citizens in Deir Ezzor was settled, given the Syrian State’s keenness on enhancing reconciliation and resorting normal life to those misled so that they can return to their works and contribute to the reconstruction of their homeland.

Some of the people who had their legal status settled urged all other misled persons to abandon their weapons and return to normal life under the umbrella of the state.

On July 14th, 17 people from Al-Hameh town in Damascus Countryside hand their weapons over to authorities and settled their legal status.
