National Earthquake Center record 17 tremors over the past 24 hours
Damascus (ST) – The National Earthquake Center announced that 17 weak tremors, the strongest of which was recorded in Liwa Iskenderun (Alexandretta) with an intensity of magnitude 4, were recorded over the past 24 hours.
The tremors occurred as follows: 8 tremors in Liwa Iskenderun ranging between magnitude 1.6 and 4, and 6 tremors in Turkey ranging between magnitude 2.3 and 3.8.
The center also recorded 3 tremors, the first occurred 9km west of Hama with an intensity of magnitude 3.2, the second occurred 43km northeast of Tartous with an intensity of magnitude 1.5, and the third occurred 19km north of Damascus countryside with an intensity of magnitude 2.3.
The center on Tuesday recorded 15 weak tremors.
