Damascus (ST): The National Earthquake Center announced that monitoring stations recorded 14 tremors, ranging between 1.5 and 4.1 on the Richter scale, during the past 24 hours.
The Center said in a statement that the tremors recorded last night , until 6:15 a.m. today, were 90 kilometers northwest of Raqqa, measuring 2.4 degrees, and an earthquake north of Hama, 10 kilometers, measuring 1.9 degrees, and another to the west-southwest of Tartus 97 kilometers, measuring 2.1 degrees, and an earthquake 29 kilometers southwest of Quneitra, measuring 1.5 degrees.
According to the Center’s statement, six tremors ranging in magnitude from 2.4 to 4.1degrees were recorded in Turkey, three tremors in Iskenderun ranging between 2.1 and 3.1degrees, and a tremor in the Mediterranean Sea east of Cyprus with a magnitude of 2.3.
Yesterday, the National Earthquake Center announced that it had recorded 12 earthquakes measuring less than 3.6 on the Richter scale.
