Nasrallah: What concerns Washington most is the security of “Israel”

Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Resistance Movement Hassan Nasrallah has affirmed that the recent riot acts in the Capitol Building in Washington revealed the falsehood of the US democracy,  pointing out that the Americans used to do that in other countries to overthrow governments, and now, the outgoing US President Donald Trump is implementing this scenario in his country.

In a televised statement on Friday, Nasrallah said that “what happened in Washington was a simple example of what US outgoing President Donald Trump committed in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Palestine during the four years of presidency. He indicated that the Americans have realized the results of Trump’s policy and felt his willingness even to kill his own people to remain in power.

Trump is an example of US political and military arrogance that has been imposed on other countries and that undermined their sovereignty, he said, adding that the recent events in Washington will have repercussions in America and the entire world.

Nasrallah also said that the American coercive measures imposed on Lebanon target the Lebanese resistance and aim at protecting the Israeli occupation entity’s interests. He added that had it not for the Lebanese resistance, the United States would not have been focusing on Lebanon, because what concerns Washington most is the security of the Israeli enemy.

He went on to say that the “Beirut Port blast is a national cause that affected Lebanon as a whole as it massively damaged the country’s economy. He warned against the politicization of this issue and stressed the need to reach a fair ending.
