Nasrallah: ‘We Are in front of Great Military and Field Victory in Arsal Outskirts’

BEIRUT, (ST)- Hizbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah has stressed that the decision to initiate with Arsal battle was taken without any foreign intervention and it is not related to external developments.

In a televised speech on Wednesday on Hezbollah military campaign against Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Arsal outskirts, Nasrallah said “we are in front of a great military and field victory”  which surprised all by being achieved very fast and with high accurateness and with the minimum cost in terms of the number of martyrs and the wounded.

 Hizbollah Secretary General added that in the battle in Flita outskirts, Hizbollah and the Syrian Arab Army fought side by side and they succeeded in liberating the area from Al-Nusra terrorists.

He pointed out that the goal from Arsal battle was to force out the terrorists occupying Arsal and Flita outskirts, asserting that Jabhat Al-Nusra was wrong not to respond to calls to lay down weapons.

Nasrallah stressed that the Lebanese army’s operations in Arsal surroundings and barrens “were very essential for achieving this victory.”

He said the Lebanese Army managed to prevent the infiltration of the militants and ensured the complete safety of Arsal and the refugee camps.

Nasrallah reiterated that Hizbollah only wants the good and safety of Arsal, and when the battles are over the party is ready to hand in all the lands and outskirts to the Lebanese Army so that the people of Arsal return to their towns.

He stressed that Hizbollah fighters are approaching a great victory and the people of Beqaa and its neighbors will be safe.

He affirmed that in the battle against terrorism resistance men of Hizbollah are performing their duty and they don’t want gratitude from anyone.
