On May 25th, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, said that the victory of the resistance in 2000 broke the image of the indomitable “army” of the Israeli occupation.
Sayyed Nasrallah said that victory gave hope to the Palestinians for liberation, once again thanks to Syria and its army that participated in making this achievement.
Sayyed Nasrallah said in a televised speech t on the occasion of the Resistance and Liberation Day: “This victory did not come for free, but was made with blood and tears and fingers on the trigger, and the resistance today is stronger than ever and its morale is high, and it does not need anyone’s permission to perform its duty.”
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that the resistance in Lebanon did not seek authority after victory and did not covet it, saying: “We did not fight for the sake of authority, but to liberate the land and the people and for the sake of national dignity.”
Sayyed Nasrallah called for partnership and cooperation, discussing the defense strategy and solving Lebanon’s problems by extracting its share of the natural resources in the territorial waters in order to become a rich and powerful country.
Sayyed Nasrallah said that Lebanon has a great treasure and wealth of oil and gas, and the issue of extracting it from the sea is possible, but this needs boldness.
On the escalation of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that the continued persistence of the occupation entity in its aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem will lead to a major explosion in the region.
Sayyed Nasrallah said that the Palestinian resistance took the choice to respond to the Israeli aggression, stressing that all options are on the resistance table to confront them.
