Nasrallah: Syria’s Friends Won’t Allow it to Fall

BEIRUT, (ST) –”what is happening now is neither  keeping  Syria away from the axis of resistance nor seizing power at any cost but the main goal is  to destroy Syria (state and people) and army ,”underscored Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.

Nasrallah’s remark came during a speech aired on the Lebanon –based TV al-Manar on Tuesday .

Nasrallah made it clear that there are two directions that have been apparently prevailed  since the onset of the  crisis in Syria. Firstly, the  military options up to slaughtering people, summoning foreign intervention, and talking about chemical weapons  along with self-styled Islamic scholars who made Fatwas permitting bloodshed based on political positions.

Secondly, there is a  call for political solution for solving the crisis.

Nasrallah  affirmed that Syria has true friends in the region and in the world who will not allow it to fall into the hands of the US, Israel and Takfiri groups.

“Those who claim to be saddened by the blood being shed in Syria, those who don’t want the Palestinian cause to be lost, and those who are concerned about Syria must spare no effort  to find a political solution,” Nasrallah said.

Nasrallah asserted that the Palestinian cause is facing the threat of being liquidated because of the ongoing crisis in  Syria, adding that the situation in Syria affects Lebanon, Iraq and the entire  region.
