Secretary General of Hezbullah Party Sayed Hassan Nasrallah affirmed that Lebanon was passing through a critical and sensitive stage, saying that Lebanon achieved positive points through the popular moves and that should be preserved. He pointed out that these moves imposed on the government allocating a budget without taxes or fees and issuing important and unprecedented reforms. In a speech he made today, Nasrallah described the reforms as a very advanced step, pointing out that they are not promises and the government would implement them within the scheduled time.
He considered that the most important laws were restoring stolen money, combatting tax evasion and corruption. Nasrallah referred to the participation of Hezbollah in the demonstrations clarifying that the interest of the popular move is to be far away from parties but the Gulf media tried from the very beginning to say that Hezbollah was threatening the demonstrators. Nasrallah said that the solution should be based on avoiding vacancy in the state’s institutions, because it would lead to chaos and collapse, stressing that Hezbollah does not support the resignation of the government or holding early parliamentary elections. Nasrallah concluded that the demonstrations started spontaneously without any party interference, but today there are certain parties that fund them and politicize their demands.
