Nasrallah: Hizbollah to Leave Syria Only at Syrian Leadership’s Request

BEIRUT, (ST)- Hizbollah Secretary General  Hassan Nasrallah has said that the party will leave Syria only at the request of the Syrian government, stressing that the Resistance group fighters’ presence in Syria aimed to defeat the takfiri terror groups and came upon the Syrian government’s request.

In a speech during a ceremony on Al-Quds International Day, Nasrallah affirmed that Syria, the central party in the axis of resistance, has been facing a global terrorist war over the past seven years, but now it has triumphed and most of the country’s area has become safe.

Addressing the Israeli occupation, Nasrallah said “you, Zionists, have to admit that you have failed to undermine the pivot part of resistance in the region and that your dreams and bets on terrorist groups have gone with the wind”.

He called on the Gulf regimes which are involved in the terrorist war on Syria to also acknowledge their defeat.

“Hizbollah went to Syria because the country was facing a global terrorist war targeting its existence as a state and targeting the axis of resistance which has contributed to Syria’s victory,” the party Secretary General said, adding that the party’s fighters will leave Syria when the Syrian leadership demands them to do so.

Nasrallah reiterated that the issue of occupied al-Quds is the core of conflict with the Zionist enemy, pointing out that after the US recognition of Al-Quds as the capital of the Zionist entity, there is a challenge to prevent the world countries from supporting the American decision. The Palestinian locals in Al-Quds also have to encounter the demographic challenge imposed by the Zionist enemy that is attempting to cause major demographic alterations in the occupied Al-Quds by the Zionists who resort to construct large numbers of settler houses in order to change the identity of the city, he added, asserting that the Palestinians further must confront the Zionist threats and moves against Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The most dangerous challenge, Nasrallah said, is the Saudi regime’s acknowledgment of Israel’s right in al-Quds with the so-called “Century’s Deal”, which aims at eradicating the Palestinian cause and giving up Al-Quds and the sanctities to the usurping entity. He noted that some treacherous Arab businessmen are purchasing Palestinian houses in the occupied Al-Quds and selling them to the Zionists.

He also said that locals of al-Quds are now protecting al-Aqsa Mosque on behalf of the entire Islamic world, stressing that al-Quds will return to its locals and Palestine will be liberated and if the Israelis insist on occupying Palestine, a great war will erupt and liberate all the occupied Palestinian territories and then “we all will pray in Al-Quds.”
