Nasrallah: Front Strived to Control Syria Failed

Beirut,(ST)- Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said that the acceptable and available solution to the crisis in Syria is political though dialogue without preconditions, referring that Geneva II conference will pave the way for solutions.

In a speech delivered during a festival on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of al-Rasoul al-Aazam Hospital in Beirut, Nasrallah called on all ”the people of the region who have been affected by the crisis in Syria to push for a political solution there.”

Hezbollah Secretary-General noted that those who are obstructing the political solution are ”exposed and well-known”, pointing out that Saudi Arabia is very furious by what is going on in the region, which is no secret that it has received “militants” from all over the world and provided them with weapons and USD 30 billion in funds, in addition to media instigation.

”The region cannot remain ablaze because some countries are furious and want to obstruct dialogue and postpone Geneva II,” Nasrallah stated, adding that ”all those who oppose the political solution in Syria want more destruction for Syria,  all countries of the region, and for Palestine and its cause”.

The front that aimed at ”toppling the government” in Syria is working to obstruct and postpone convening Geneva II conference,  which in turn will lead to more destruction and killing in the country but this front has failed to achieve it, Nasrallah pointed out.

Nasrallah shed light on the  major changes taking place  recently in Syria   ”in favor of the Syrian Arab army,” pointing to the failure of the armed groups to change the military balance ,referring to the failure of the Syrian opposition to unify its ranks, the fall of the military aggression hypothesis against Syria,  the public and  military steadfastness in Syria.

”All of the aforementioned lead us to one conclusion that there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria,” he said.
