Mustafa Ali Gallery hosts the Russian event ” Culture and Peace”

The activities of the Russian cultural program, Culture and Peace, were launched in the Gallery of Mustafa Ali.

The exhibition lasts for 5 days and includes artistic and musical activities by Russian artists and a drawing workshop for Syrian children.

Mustafa Ali,  the director of the gallery  said in N interview to Syria Times” This varied event included an exhibition of pictures and artworks by creative Russian artists from the Leningrad Lithographic Museum, a concert of traditional Russian folk music, in addition to an exhibition for Syrian children.”

Ali stressed that these events reflect the cultural cooperation between the two countries and convey them to the world.

The exhibition also included a group of lithograph artworks executed by different generations of Russian artists who established a school with new concepts for small –scale lithograph which was the step of creative research and take place in 1940 -1920.

Art therapy is the title of a workshop for Syrian children held by Russian artist Olga Klotz, who explained to Syria Times” This workshop is very interesting where the  Syrian children participated through  their talents and creativity, and their interaction with the drawings in which they expressed their dreams and imaginations”

Olga added “I am very happy to participate with the children and I am amazed by their positive interaction, their passion for drawing and their wonderful expression of their ideas.”

This workshop resulted in a variety of attractive paintings that reflect the pure spirit of the child, his creative mind and his vast imagination.

She concluded ” I hope that such interesting and useful workshops will be repeated”

The event shows Russia’s first documentary feature in the virtual reality in the Middle East for the first time

It is VR movie of the Hermitage where you can dive into history through a fantastic journey.

The Syrian viewers will be able to move to ST Petersburg directly at the events and visit one of the main museums of Russia in the virtual reality formate you can touch its history.

All the viewers admired the masterpieces of classical architecture and art.

This movie is available in Russian and English language and its duration is 18 minutes.

One of the viewers of the film spoke to Syria Times about her enjoyable experience. It was a wonderful experience and it is different from watching the movie in showrooms because it took me to that place as if it was real. I saw the museum and moved between its sculptures, it is a great feeling and I hope to re-experience it with new amazing places again.
