Muslim World Unity Should Start With National Unity, Says Zarif

Foreign Minister Mohammad JavadZarif said on Sunday that unity of the Islamic world should start with national unity, calling for convergence of all Muslim groups and outlooks, according to IRNA.

Zarif made the remarks in a local gathering while criticizing the present situation in the Muslim world.

ˈThe Islamic world is currently facing a bitter reality which is formation of anti-Islamic movements in the name of Islam,ˈ regretted the minister.

Condemning the massacre of children in Gaza as the national policy of the Zionist regime, the foreign minister said Muslims have no choice but to resort to international organizations despite their long record of silence vis-a-visIsraelˈs atrocities against the defenseless people of Palestine.

Referring to the critical condition of the present world, Zarif said a proper understanding of the current international situation would lead to new international relations based on national and individual potentials.
