Musical show “Bride’s Crown” performed at the stage of Dar Al Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus 

In the musical show, “Bride’s Crown” which was performed on the stage of the Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus, director Ahmed Zuhair sought to transport the Syrian audience through time to the year 1485 which simulates a wonderful Andalusian era of the city of Seville, through which he embodies contradictory feelings on the stage.

The musical show “Bride’s Crown” stimulates a period in Andalusia and depicts the world of gypsies, the Spaniards and the Arabs and how they were displaced during that era. It also talk about a love story between one of the invaders, Alfanso, whose role is played by the Syrian actor Joan Kheder, and the belle of Seville, who in turn is in love with Jabiro the gypsy

The show is an integrated and rich story befitting the Syrian dance theatre.

The General Director of Dar Al Assad for Culture and Arts, Andre Maalouli, in a statement to SANA, indicated that for three months there were continuous and complete rehearsals as well as partnership and flexibility in dealing between the company producing the show and Dar Al-Assad to come up with a distinctive show.
