Muradov: Crimea’s relations with Syria creates opportunity for enhancing its economic cooperation with Middle East countries
The permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian presidency Georgy Muradov announced that cooperation between Crimea and Syria allows the Russian Republic of Crimea to develop its economic and trade relations with the countries of the Middle East, which are currently showing interest in activating mutual relations with Russia.
In a statement on the sidelines of the 26th International Economic Forum held in St. Petersburg, Russia, Muradov said: “Crimea’s cooperation with the Middle East will develop more effectively because this is naturally linked to the existence of a basic agreement with Syria, particularly after it has returned to the Arab League.”
He added: “We have to set up a large center across Syria to cooperate with the entire Middle East, and this is what is being worked on.”
He pointed out that the Arab countries are currently moving very actively towards Russia, stressing that the colonial era that the West has exploited over the past two centuries has become a thing from the past, as a multipolar world is currently emerging, in which countries enjoy a wide spectrum of sovereignty, independence and wide capabilities to develop their relations with other countries.
