Muqlus, amazing vivid nature that revives Al-Nadara Valley

Muqlus is situated like a glowing green jewel at the foot of Al Helou Mountain attracting visitors all over the world for its unique beautiful nature and distinctive climate. It is located about 40 km to the west of the city of Homs, at the top of the Wadi Al-Nadara Mountains about 800 m above the sea level.

 Its mild climate in summer makes it a popular destination for tourists and vacationers, as they visit Muqlus to escape the summer heat and enjoy its pleasant atmosphere, where the famous (Jabal Al Helou) overlooks  part of the Mediterranean Sea, Akkar   Mountain, Al Hosn Castle and Qattinah Lake.

The village enjoys a stunning nature due to the pine and chestnut forests and the apple orchards that surround it as its villagers grow apple trees, which are among the most desirable and good varieties, in addition to olives, figs, grapes, plums, peaches, walnuts and pomegranates.

Muqlus is one of the villages that are almost completely free of illiteracy. Most of its people are expatriates in the Americas and Europe, in addition to expatriates in the Arabian Gulf and Lebanon.

It is said that Muqlus is an ancient word that means “the eyeball of the lion.
