Muhafaza beat Shurta

DAMASCUS,(ST)-Muhafaza,newly promoted to 1st division, have deservedly beaten Shurta 1-0 in the final round of  the Professional Soccer league at the Faiha stadium.

Striker Husam Bawadiqji scored the winning goal in the 8th minute.

In other actions,Jaish,title holders, were held to a goalless draw by Wahda at the Muhafaza stadium in Damascus.

The second round will be held tomorrow where Shurta will take on Musfat Banyas at the Faiha stadium, Wahda will go head-to-head with Muhafaza at Tishreen stadium and Wathba will meet Jaish at Muhafaza stadium.
