Mufti to Swedish Delegation: US, Europe Should Stop Supporting Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Grand Mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmad Badruddin Hassoun has stressed that the United States and Europe should stop supporting and sponsoring the terrorists who are killing the Syrian people and destroying the country’s infrastructure.

Meeting a delegation representing Syrian expatriates in Sweden as well as Swedish intellectuals and journalists, the Mufti said the Syrian people will triumph thanks to their rallying around their leadership and army and because of their steadfastness over the past four years in the confrontation of the organized terrorism led by regional and international forces and funded by some Arab states.

He urged members of the delegation to convey the truth of what is going on in Syria to the Swedish public opinion as to confront the American and western misleading media campaigns which aim at covering the crimes committed by the terrorists against the Syrian people.

Members of the delegation, on their part, asserted that their visit helped them discover the lies promoted by the western media about the situation in Syria. They affirmed that they will convey the right image to the Swedish people and will spare no effort to support Syria’s steadfastness.
