Mufti Hassoun Stressed role of Youths in Rebuilding Renewable Syria

LATTAKIA ,(ST)_  the Republic ‘s Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmad Badr al-Din Hassoun  underlined the importance of the role of youth in building and maintaining  of what has been  demolished in Syria during the current crisis .

During an open meeting with Tishreen  University  students in Lattakia yesterday , Hassoun called  on Syrian youth to read the history of their homeland and its  civilization  which  stretches back thousands of years and stick  to their national identity , and work for  building the nation , explaining that Syria is the land of divine messages and   her people are responsible for its protection.

He stressed that there is no fear for the future of Syria because her  youth ” revealed the falsity of the alleged Arab Spring ,” pointing out that Syria is paying today the price of the positions of the resistance in Lebanon , Palestine and Iraq , and  that the blood of the martyrs is the red  ink which will raise hope on Syria.

Dr Hassoun indicated that Syria has achieved between 2000 and 2010, quantum scientific , religious, cultural and economic important leaps  , admitted  even by its  enemies, warning of tendentious concepts and terminologies  that are promoted and circulated in the media as the religious state term because it is ” intended to justify the existence of “Israel” as a Jewish state that  expels Muslims and Christians from  occupied Palestine . “

The Grand Mufti of the Republic pointed out  that ” Syria is a secular state serving all her people  and that her  diversity  is but a richness  and  strength, not a clash and fight , ” adding that secularism assesses  life on the ground of sound science .

He called for ” stripping  Syrian citizenship from all those who have sold their homeland  and persuaded strangers against it ,” adding that ” Syrian  geography should be written again  after the end of the crisis , as to begin  the Syrian  Map from Gaza Strip , ending  with Antioch and Cyprus to Maan ,  despite the United Nations and the Sykes-Picot agreement  .”

Syria ‘s power lies in its Diversity, People Unity

During his meeting with Muslim and Christian clerics in Latakia yesterday  , the  Grand Mufti stressed that Syria  is strong in the  diversity and harmony  among  its people , stressing the role of the religious establishment in the promotion of this culture and the need to promote

religious discourse away from sectarianism .

Dr. Hassoun noted  that the conspiracy against Syria, on  which forces are rallied  from 82 countries spent more than $ 120 billion during  more than two and a half  years , were enough to tear any nation , but the Syrian people , thanks to their patient  ,  the strength of their  army and the wisdom of their  leadership were able to exceed the plot to begin the construction phase of  renewable Syria .

He warned against  the sedition  projects promoted by  some media channels , saying :  better for those who are keen for the  homeland  to correct the mistakes  and not destroy Syria and target its  infrastructure of railways , roads and buildings ,  public facilities and assault on the sanctity of citizens under the slogans very far from  religion because religion is an option  and the state  is a system , a  law and commitment ,  approved by the community.

He noted the sacrifices of the Syrian martyrs who gave their lives for the unity of the nation , with many of them men of religion ,  including  martyr scholar Sheikh Mohammad Saeed Ramadan Al Bouti and other scholars in many provinces , pointing out that what is happening in Syria is caused by her firm position  concerning   the Palestinian issue and in revenge  of her  victories in the October Liberation War and the victories  of the resistance in Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine.
