Mrs. Asma al-Assad visits the first center for transplanting blood stem cells and cell therapy for children

Damascus, (ST) – Mrs. Asma al-Assad visited on Monday the center for transplanting blood stem cells and cell therapy for children. The Center which is the first of its kind in Syria comes as a result of 15 years of work and effort despite the  blockade on the country. 

Mrs. Al Assad was briefed on the final preparations for the launch of the center during the coming weeks.She was accompanied by the Minister of Higher Education, Bassam Ibrahim.

The Center treats children infected with blood cancer, other cancers, hereditary blood diseases and congenital immunodeficiency diseases

This center is equipped with the latest medical technologies.With the adoption of the highest engineering and vocational standards the best degrees of protection, disinfection and the safety of the patient child are insured in addition to  the success of medical surgeries.
