Mrs. Asma Al-Assad to excelled students: Countries enhance their progress by the efforts of the distinguished citizens
Damascus – 173 excelled students, who get the Basic Education Certificate after obtaining full mark in the examinations of the academic year 2022-2023, were honored by the Ministry of Education during a ceremony held recently at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.
During the ceremony, the student received a letter from First Lady Asma Al-Assad saying: “Full mark is not just a number; rather, it reflects the concept of completeness that is not associated with science and knowledge only, but with its being a method of thinking and a culture of life which I hope you will always adopt, since countries achieve progress by the work of all its citizens, but they maintain and enhance this progress by the efforts of the distinguished ones”.
Minister of Education Mohammad Amer Mardini stressed that the positive impacts of excellence are not limited to the students only, rather, they reflect on their social environment, and thus, opportunities of professional and personal development increase and doors for building constructive partnerships open widely, thereby enhancing the values of hard work, cooperation and dedication and the ability to overcome difficulties.
“This honoring ceremony has a special splendor as it culminates the process of knowledge of more than 170 students from different Syrian provinces,” the minister said, noting the great role played by the students’ parents and teachers in this academic achievement and excellence.
He hailed the letter sent by Mrs. Asma Al-Assad to the students, affirming that this letter reflects her pride in Syria’s creative and outstanding youth.
