Mrs. Asma Al-Assad meets with champions of the Syrian Special Olympics who participated in the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin
Damascus – Mrs. Asma Al-Assad on Tuesday met with the champions of the Syrian Special Olympics who participated in the Special Olympics World Games 2023 in Berlin. These champions provided an example to follow in strength, creativity and the ability to make achievements.
The Syrian Presidency, through its social media platforms, celebrated the champions’ achievements in the Special Olympics World Games and their strong will and determination that constitute a lesson to follow in life.
With their strong will, these champions managed to harvest gold, silver and bronze medals in swimming, athletics, gymnastics, bocce, weightlifting, judo and cycling, as they believed in their strength and ability, thereby making the society and the institutions believe in their ability to achieve and innovate.
The champions, who came from the provinces of Daraa, Quneitra, Damascus countryside, Aleppo, Hama, Tartous, Damascus, Homs and Lattakia participated in the tournament and competed contestants from other countries of the world with much insistence, determination and ambition, which are more valuable than gold.
