Mrs. Asma Al-Assad congratulates Syrian mothers on Damascus Radio on the occasion of Mother’s Day

Damascus, (ST) –  On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Mrs. Asma Al-Assad congratulated the Syrian mothers through Damascus Radio. She stressed that the mother is a source of giving.

Mrs. Asma said: I am talking to you today to congratulate Syrian women inside and outside the country on the occasion of celebrating those who carried the supreme message and pledged their soul and life to their children.

 Mrs. Asma added that, because motherhood is the source of goodness and purity, which is the supreme message, it was characterized by its deep roots and great meanings.

Mrs. Asma continued that, Syria is the mother of civilizations that enriched the world with knowledge, and it was and will continue to carry the message of civilization and humanity.

Mrs. Asma also said that, Ugarit belongs to this land, the mother of the alphabets. This land presented to the world the principles of human communication through language and dialogue. She added that Damascus is the mother of ancient inhabited capitals with its roots, pride and steadfastness. 

Mrs. Asma went on to say that, I chose to address you “through Damascus Radio, on its seventy-fifth anniversary that generations were raised on its national mission”.

Mrs. Asma said that, on Mother’s Day, we congratulate first of all our motherland, Syria, then we congratulate the great mothers of Syria who are the granddaughters of civilization.

“Here we are today, holding on like our mothers and grandmothers. We build what is destroyed, we defend the land, we spread peace and we look forward to a bright future no matter how difficult the present is”, Mrs. Asma said.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers of Syria , Mrs Al-Assad concluded her speech.
