MoU signed between Ministry of Education and the Norwegian Refugee Council on cooperation in rebuilding schools
On July 29th, the Ministry of Education signed a memorandum of understanding with the Norwegian Refugee Council on cooperation in rebuilding schools and training educational staff.
The memorandum was signed by the Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Education, Ghassan Shugri, and the Country Director of the Council (Andres Gonzalez Rodriguez).
The memorandum includes cooperation in the areas of maintenance and rebuilding of schools, the provision of school bags and stationery, and the implementation of training courses for teaching and administrative staff.
The memo also includes cooperation to provide compensatory lessons for students of basic and secondary education certificates, health awareness campaigns, support for adolescents to engage in vocational education, and psychological and social support.
The signing was attended by the Minister of Education DaremTabaa and the Director of Public Relations in the Norwegian Council Abdullah Al-Ahmad.
