ST – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said that the unilateral US sanctions against the Central Bank of Iran hinder the implementation of the mechanism of trade exchange between Iran and Europe “INSTEX” , reiterating Moscow’s stance that these illegal sanctions must be lifted.
“They impede everything, any activity or any mechanisms that can ensure the implementation of those commitments made by the international community in the context of resolving the Nuclear issue.” ,Grushko said when asked whether the recent US sanctions against the Central Bank of Iran are hindering the work of INSTEX.
“We will continue our work to maintain the joint comprehensive plan of action on the nuclear deal signed with Iran, which should begin with the lifting of the illegal sanctions that were imposed on Iran after the United States decided to withdraw from the agreement.” , he added.
Donald Trump’s administration continued its unilateral coercive measures against Iran under various pretexts and imposed a new set of sanctions on Iran on the 20th of this month, including the Central Bank and a development fund.
