Following the meeting of foreign ministers of Iran and G4+1 in New York on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia issued a statement and announced that Moscow will keep cooperating with Iran and guarding the Iran Deal.
The meeting was held with coordination of High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini; the participating foreign ministers discussed the situation of Iran Deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, regarding the goals determined by the joint commission in Vienna on July 6, said the statement.
The statement added that the meeting had decided that the signatories of the JCPOA should make intensive attempts to create the appropriate conditions for Iran to have access to financial and economic collaborations despite US extra-national and illegal sanctions on Tehran.
Russia had stressed determination to defend cooperation with Iran and to preserve the JCPOA and implementing the UNSC 2231 Resolution, it added.
Referring to Iran’s commitment to the deal and the confirmations made by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Foreign Ministry of Russia added Moscow will have unconditional support for the deal.
